The Beach & Beyond
Insider tips from a family that's been here for generations.
Right in the Middle of Everything
Avon isn't Nags Head — it's quieter, more laid-back, and beautifully in the middle of it all. From our cottages, you're a short walk to fresh seafood, a quick drive to the grocery store, and a quarter mile from the Avon Fishing Pier. Here's what we recommend to first-time guests and what our returning families come back for year after year.
The Mad Crabber
Fresh seafood served just across the street from our cottages. It doesn't get more convenient — or more delicious — than that. A local favorite that our returning guests always look forward to.
Get On The Water
Hatteras is one of the best places on the East Coast for surfing and kiteboarding. We partner with two of the best in the business so our guests can book with confidence.
Avon Fishing Pier
Just a quarter mile from our cottages — walk over any time of day. One of the best fishing piers on Hatteras Island for surf fishing, watching the anglers, or catching a sunrise over the water.
Groceries Are Easy
We're centrally located in Avon, making the local grocery store an easy quick trip. Stock up when you arrive and skip the crowds — everything you need is minutes away.
